Brittany was in the hospital about three weeks ago enduring her 19th brain surgery; it was very trying for the family. I went to visit her soon after she got out and we went for a long walk and talked about her special life and what would lie ahead. The sunshine was bright on our backs, and there was added warmth which let us know that we weren’t walking alone.

Brittany asked me if I would like to see where her school was so we drove there and as we walked around the playground I noticed a rose in full bloom. I asked Brittany to get close so I could take her picture. We viewed the picture in the camera and it was so beautiful. I promised her I would have the picture enlarged for her parents and Grandmas for Christmas.

Two weeks passed and she ended up back in the hospital, what they thought was the flu turned out to be an infection and she had to undergo another brain surgery.

A week ago Brittany was to speak with Joel Espe (USSA President) at a fundraiser for our charity. But due to the severity of her health it wasn’t possible for her to attend. She wrote her speech from her hospital bed and asked me to read it. I was so touched and honored to be asked to read her special speech.

The morning of the fundraiser I unwrapped the Christmas wrapping paper covering the picture I had taken of Brittany. I felt if Brittany couldn’t be there I wanted them so see what she looked like. After Joel and I left the fundraiser a deep feeling came over me to take the picture to the hospital. I felt the picture might help lighten the heavy load on her family.

When I got there Brittany and her dad were sleeping, so I just sat on the end of Brittany's bed until her dad woke up. I told him that I read Brittany’s speech and she had done a fine job; then I handed him the picture. I could see in his face he was so moved.

When Brittany woke up I told her that I had given her dad’s Christmas gift early; she just smiled at me because she knew why I did it. Please keep her in your prayers. God bless you all.

That picture is stunning! Not surprising as Brittany is so beautiful. She has a beautiful soul and spirit as well.

Great story, and we are all praying for her and her family. She has touched so many lives.

My wife and myself are also dealing with our baby girl being sick. I know how you all feel. I can relate to your feelings. Look in the Bible in Matthew 8:17. Me and my wife memorized that and repeat it to our self all the time. Just keep praying and your family will be watched over.

Please keep Brittany and her family in your prayers. She was released from the hospital Sunday after spending several weeks enduring more brain surgeries.

Whitehousewhitetails, special children ARE ONLY given to special families. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God bless you :-)

Brittany will undergo a serious 12-16 hour brain surgery early tomorrow morning. We will pray and hope that God guides the hands of the doctors caring for her. We know the power of prayer supersedes all else, so please take the time to say a special prayer not just for Brittany but her family as well. God bless you all.

Thanks for your prayers. Read Matt 8:17. Brittany will be blessed along with her family today. Be blessed in the New Year.

John your family and daughter as is Brittnay and her family are in our prayers. So many times we get so caught up in the daily rush of life and fail to acknowledge the people in need of prayer.
Speaking for myself this is where I fall short of the glory of the lord.

Reading these forums and everyone`s trial`s tends to bring my life back to reality. The reality of it is without the lord we have nothing.

After attending New Years Eve mass we were heading to celebrate the coming of the New Year with our family. Brittany’s father contacted me with some excellent news. Apparently the 13 hour long brain surgery was a complete success and when she woke up she told her dad that she was hungry and could really use some fresh sushi. I thought for a minute that we would have to throw on some ice fishing boots and go catch her dinner, but unfortunately the doctor said it would be a little while before she could have some fresh fish, raw or cooked!

She will remain in intensive care for two days than back into the operating room for her shunts replacement.

Prayer is very powerful! Like John mentioned above in Matt 8:17 we can just imagine St. Peter’s delight when Jesus cured his mother-in-law who was critically-ill at the time. It is amazing how the Prophet Isaiah was able to accurately predict Christ’s ministry on earth, some 600 years before his birth. Happy New Year and God bless your families and deer farming operations.

Since last November, Brittany has spent the majority of time in Children’s hospital battling brain cancer. It has been very difficult for Brittany and her family. They have been increasing the medication to help her cope with the pain and suffering.

Brittany has something very meaningful she needs to do tomorrow. Please pray that God continues to keep her well and give her the needed strength to make her unselfish wish possible! God bless you all.

For the last four months Brittany has been struggling to get well enough to be released from the hospital so she could share her testimony. She wanted other children in her school to understand what it felt like battling a life threatening illness, and to understand that her imperfections were a blessing.

Brittany’s wish was granted last Friday when she spoke to her entire school and shared her story about her battle with brain cancer. She explained how she came down with it at the age of five years old and how she has endured over 20 brain surgeries.

As I looked over the crowd I could see the children listening with their HEARTS wide open! The impact this 14 year old child made on her peers and others was breathtaking. When we came down off the stage the children and teachers circled around her. It was an emotional and inspiring moment. Even though Brittany was exhausted she kept a beautiful smile on her face while she hugged them all.

Thanks you for all your prayers!
