“Valentines Day is a day to express your love, and to celebrate the spirit of love.” Love can be shown to the one you care about in so many different ways. My story about “love” this Valentines Day is about a father and a little boy. They will meet each other for the first time on a USSA hunt February 26-27, 2006. Last March I attended the EWA annual meeting in Texas and met Charlie Seale. He helped me set up an exotic hunt for a young boy who was terminal with cancer.  Christopher’s hunt was a very touching moment for everyone involved. It wasn’t long after the hunt and Christopher went to Heaven. I called and spoke with his father Nick and shared in his sorrow. Nick’s son was like all “special children” beautiful inside and out. I wanted so much to help take his pain away but I lived 1,200 miles north of him and I was struggling trying to find an answer. Then one morning while I was running on my treadmill and planning my daily work schedule, with the grace of God, out of the blue thoughts starting running through my mind. I thought about Nick and than about a little boy name Evan who wanted to go hunting but had no one to take him .…………and than I remember there was a HUGE HOG sitting on a ranch in Texas that needed a dedicated hunter and guide!!  My heart really started pounding because I was so excited! Here for days I was struggling so hard to find an answer and it was right there in front of me. Well Nick and Evan try their best to get that mean old hog...........but as Evan put it, "We never saw the hog!!" They will try again in a month or so and we will keep you updated. Brigid O'Donoghue | ||

Nick and Evan called me Saturday evening to tell me they got the “mean old hog”! Way to go Evan, I never doubted for a second you wouldn't get him!
