That's Chris's first kill, he nailed it soon after Mike got his first one. Chris made a perfect shoulder shot, but the tough old hog decided to leave the country! Chris quickly gave it another shot - on the run! - and dropped it right and proper. Excellent shooting, all around. Later he followed us into the black waters of a Florida swamp and he was the very first user of a boar hunting knife that I have to review, when he killed a big black hog with it!! I had the honor of being the first (human) to catch the hog he knifed. I think Chris now blames me for getting him addicted to killing hogs with knives, but his grin told me that he wouldn't have it any other way! | ||

After reading the email Chris’s father sent me I knew I needed to get a very special hunt for his son. I called Kenny [owner of Slaughter Brothers] and told him about Chris and he made this statement, “That boy will not go home without a hog; and I will make sure of that myself!” After I hung up the phone a feeling came over me that Kenny was right and Chris would take home a hog for sure! Chris loves to hunt and when he heard he was going on a wild hog hunt I could tell he was excited!! I called him a couple of times before the hunt and riled him up to the point I think he plan to get a hog even if he had to arm wrestle it. It was nice to see that even his step-mom who never hunted went along on his second hog hunt adventure and had a great time! Way to go Jackie! Chris, Mom and i had a great time with you and your family. You are an amazing person and a pretty good shot to. Being with ya'll was a real treat. Now we gonna have to make it more often cause now you are like family.
