At our last USSA event playground guru - Ron Johnson and I decided to take on a new career and work undercover operating as field agents. Ron agreed I’d make a better “Agent Jack Bauer”, because “Jack” was someone who could head up field operations and if needed, give a good head-lock. Ron being the “nice guy” decided he would work undercover by blending in with the crowd.

Ron looked around the campground and told me he knew just the place where he could hide out and have some fun. Next thing you know, there he was sitting on a swing in the middle of the field operation, looking very suspicious! Being this was his first expedition, I wasn’t surprise when I saw him just sitting there twiddling his thumbs. Four kids were waiting their turn, so I hurried over and told Mr. Swing-set I would push him on the swing so he wouldn’t look so apprehensive and blow our covers. Besides the other 4 kids wanted to swing too!

While I was pushing Ron, my cell phone rung and it was “Cloey”. She called to warn me that the “Swinger” we knew as Playground Ron was a CTU Mole and I needed to make sure he didn’t get away until the field agents got there. I told her no problem!

I have to admit Ron had me fooled, I thought he was an outstanding citizen and a true crime-stopper. Lesson learned- you can never trust a man with a smiley face married to a good woman!!

Ron’s parole office called me the following morning and told me he must serve 750 hours of community service and stay at least 100 feet from any playground toys! In addition, the officer told Ron to leave the Swinging” to Elkabong. He then asked if our charity had any opportunities. I told him, “Matter a fact I have just the job for Good-Old-Ron!”

Ron this is “John Mozingo’s throne” and he would like it cleaned inside and out, and painted before the July Outdoor Water Sport event. You can email him directly mozingoj@hotmail.com to get his specifications. Have fun!!
